Scenic Two Week Slovenia Cycling Tour
A small country full of big surprises!
Our two week Slovenia cycling tour begins in Slovenia’s capital city of Ljubljana, where social and environmental awareness has been a long tradition. In fact, Ljubljana was awarded the European Green Capital designation in 2016 by the European Commission. Here, we’ll spend a full day exploring the local architecture, rustic culture, and of course, delicious cuisine before our favorite adventure cycling tour in Europe begins.
Situated between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, Slovenia’s terrain ranges from snow-capped peaks to a Venetian-style coastline, with pristine karstic plateaus, rivers, valleys, and basins in between. From Slovenia’s premier destination of Lake Bled to the dramatic views of the Hohe Tauern, the highest alpine range in Austria, there will be no shortage of spectacular scenery.
This cycling tour should be considered moderate, averaging between 20–35 miles per day.
